What to expect from the conversion

This reproduces your document's page layout — margins, headings, tables, images, numbered lists and page breaks — by rendering each page and placing it into a PDF.

  • Text in the PDF is an image, so it isn't selectable or searchable. For marking, printing and annotating that makes no difference — but if you need searchable text, use Word's own Save as PDF.
  • Fonts your computer doesn't have will be substituted, which can shift line breaks slightly.
  • Equations from Word's editor and some complex text boxes may not render perfectly.
  • Older .doc files aren't supported — open and re-save them as .docx first.
